In the Enterprise sector, when employees use their own Flash drives to travel with data and take work home, your company is at risk. Unprotected data on an unsecured Flash drive can lead to devastating consequences – lost reputations, lost profits, lost jobs; in short, all the horrors you read about in the daily news. Secure data on a DataTraveler drive and rest assured it’s protected. The Kingston DataTraveler 5000 waterproof USB flash drive is FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified with Level 3 pending, and features 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption.

The flash drive uses XTS cipher mode and also uses elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) algorithms to meet Suite B standards approved by the U.S. government. It supports hardware-based 256-bit AES-XTS and Suite B cryptography, including ECC. Suite B algorithms were specifically selected and approved by the U.S. government and the Department of Defense for use in multinational data sharing environments including both classified and unclassified applications.

FIPS 140-2 certification requires a validation process that meets federal requirements set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This is critical because many governmental agencies in the United States mandate that sensitive “data at rest” (i.e., all information not in the network) must be encrypted with the FIPS 140-2 standard. Level 2 means the DataTraveler 5000 has a tamper-evident construction which acts to notify any users if their drive has been tampered with. It also has a power-on self test that verifies the encryption mechanism is running properly each time the drive is plugged into a USB port.

So, you no longer worry your sensitive data exposed to the public when you lost it or drop into the water. The DataTraveler 5000 is available in 2, 4, 8 and 16GB capacities.

Not many people has set a security lock on their USB flash drive but sometime if it is use for carry confidential data, you may want to lock it up. The USB Fingerprint Security Lock Flash Disk is the easiest way to set a lock encrypt and secure your files. And you will no need to remember those encrypt code anymore.

“This compact and portable USB fingerprint lock flash disk has comprehensive security features, such as easy access to 16 GB’s of secure data on the USB flash disk, encryption of files and folders on your computer with your fingerprint, and also enabling fingerprint login when you start your computer or return from a screen saver. An additional option to setup passwords as an alternative to fingerprints is also available, meaning you can always access your data, even if your fingers are covered with greasy KFC chicken . ”

At $53.36 these are certainly one of the cheapest fingerprint sensing USB drives we shall see anytime soon.

Given the increasingly-strange places USB Flash drives turn up these days – from Swiss Army knives to penguins – nothing should come as a surprise. But it still seems odd that ck Calvin Klein would decide that what the world wants right now is a 4GB USB data storage device built into a pair of designer sunglasses.

Simply pull off the detachable arm and you’re ready to store music, photos or data. Is this a great idea or a desperate attempt to add some technological relevance to fashion? We’ll leave that for you to decide but would like to point out that, given the frequency with which we misplace sunglasses, this could just be a convenient way to lose two things at once.

The ck Calvin Klein USB sunglasses will be available in October for USD$199.00.

If you’re on the lookout for a wearable USB drive, it wouldn’t be that hard to find one. The task is finding one that doesn’t look either overly tacky or just plain over the top geeky. Then of course there are the few that make an attempt to appear punk and fail miserably. Well for those that are tired of the USB jewelry that falls into those categories, there’s actually a seller on Etsy that you should check out.

Their drives vary in styles, but all are very tasteful. If you’re going to find a USB necklace anywhere, you’re probably going to have the best luck there. They all range in price and each one can be purchased in various sizes. When you go to purchase the necklace you can choose between 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. The pair you see here can be purchased together or individually. If you purchase the pair with a 4GB drive, it’ll cost you $99.98. None of the drives are cheap, the cheapest you’ll find is $49.99 and about the most expensive is going to cost you $139.98.

World Cup Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. It’s mega-super-insanely popular everywhere but the United States. In the US it’s called soccer, everywhere else it’s football. Coincidence? Maybe. These really cute little World Cup soccer players are also USB flash drives. Using the ever-popular removable head format, just pop off the head and insert the body into your computer. Available in one of five countries: Italy, Portugal, Germany, The Netherlands, Croatia. Seems like a random selection of countries to me. Are these the likenesses of famous players? I have no idea. They definitely look like they’d be fun to mess around with, making one kick the disembodied head of the other. Each 1GB drive costs around $30 and is available via Rinkya.

I used to try to carry a flash drive with me when I had a real job and actually left the house on occasion. More often than not, I left it at home because I forgot to pick it up and put it in my pocket. I tried a small flash drive that could fit in my wallet once, but it was too thick and made sitting uncomfortable.

A company called TopTech Products has announced a new flash drive that is shaped like a credit card and appears thin enough to not be a pain in the rear when sitting. The drive measures 3.4-inches x 2.1-inches x 0.11-inches.

It has 4GB of storage space and supports Linux, Windows, and Mac computers with USB 2.0 or 1.1 ports available. Several colors are available including clear, gray, orange, red, and blue. Businesses wanting to give them away as promotional items can get custom logos on the drives as well. Consumers can buy the drive on Amazon for $24.99.

They are all pretty damn boring,If you want those, check out your local dollar store, we are sure they’ll have a bunch ready and waiting there. If you don’t want those, but are looking for something a little more unusual, try any one of below.

Made out of hand selected wood, no single stick is identical to another, made from Guido Ooms. They certainly create an amazing tension between the cold machine and the natural appearance of the memory stick…

2.ZipZip USB Memory Brick

Novelty USB flash drives are always cool, so why not have one made in the shape of a lego? Why not add some nostalgic pleasure to your working day with your very own brick USB stick? The ZipZip USB memory brick comes in all the lego colors: black, red, yellow, green, and blue.
