This Altec Lansing inMotion MIX iMT800 does reminds me the cassette boom boxes that I saw in 70’s and 80’s movies. This is the reborn for the boom box, but not for cassettes anymore, instead includes many advance features of the digital age.

The Altec Lansing inMotion MIX can work with iPhones, iPods, portable players and music phones. It is completely portable as you can put it on your shoulder like the eighties does and bring it down to the streets or go to any party. It got a average battery life of 30 Hours, which is quite enough for whole day non-stop music playback. And it also has come with FM radio too. In front of it got a high contrast LCD displays song info (song name, artist, album) and FM radio information (RDS) and you can remote control for song and playlist navigation.

Features:

Booming Stereo Sound

Of course, the combo of “DJ” and “party” requires loud and booming sound, and the MIX will deliver. Loaded with a 5.25-inch side-firing subwoofer and 5.25-inch tuned passive radiator, the MIX pumps out big natural bass, further enhanced with XdB technology for extra heavy punch. The sound is complete with a pair of 3-inch full-range drivers, a pair of 1-inch silk dome tweeters in a horn-loaded configuration. Beyond looking cool, the front-facing horns are engineered to disperse the high frequencies — which are otherwise highly directional — for great sound throughout the entire room. Quite frankly, the MIX gets loud.

The MIX also features a brightly lit LCD display that tells you the track, artist and album being played from your docked iPhone or iPod. Also, FM station data is displayed when the radio is playing.

Tailored EQ

The MIX has various EQ options that allow the user to tailor or personalize the sound. The simplest and most familiar is an adjustment of separate bass and treble controls. For more technical tuning, a digital 7-band graphic equalizer allows custom cutting or boosting of specific frequencies. Or, there are four EQ presets where just a touch of a button will tune the EQ for specific music genres, either for rock, pop, hip-hop or simply flat.

FM Radio Tuner

Moves with the Party

For entertainment beyond the iPhone and iPod, the MIX has an FM radio tuner with four station pre-sets.

Thoughtfully Designed Remote Control

True to its retro boombox roots, the MIX runs on AC or battery power. You’ll always know how much battery life you have because the MIX will tell you on its display. You can expect up to 30 hours of play with eight “D” sized batteries. And, the MIX has nicely weight-balanced handles so you can take it on the road or around the house just as easily. Between parties the remote control stows away conveniently in its own cubby. At party time, use the clip-on carabineer so the remote is always handy to command the jams. The remote allows you to toggle between all of your music sources, including the FM radio and lets you control the on/off power, volume minus, volume plus, track back, track forward, EQ, play/pause, and the four preset buttons. The four preset buttons are used for both the FM preset mode and the EQ preset mode.

Doesn’t know how to organize your speaker? Well, JBL has created this odd shape speaker that offering a great degree of flexibility when it comes to custom audio installation. The speaker is not limited indoor use only, you also can to put it outside the home as well.

The speaker special design make it to function as bookshelf, wall-mount, or corner-mount speakers or even be set up in semi-circles and full loops to provide optimum sound reinforcement throughout a room or area.

”

Single Speakers

Here are just a few of the ways that you can enjoy Control Now’s high performance sound when using the speaker in a single array:

Single speakers can be mounted horizontally or vertically on walls. With the included floor stand adaptor, they can be configured for use with third-party stands. Use them as a home theater, speaker system for watching your favorite movie in surround sound or as a stereo pair of speakers for music.

Single speakers can be mounted in between walls, a ceiling and a wall or in corners. Use them for surround speakers or when a ceiling speaker is your best option.

Single speakers can even sit horizontally or vertically on a bookshelf. This is perfect for an office or a bedroom.

Multiple Speakers

Here are just a few of the ways that you can enjoy Control Now’s high-performance sound when using the speaker in a two, three or even four speaker array (extra Control Now speakers sold separately):

Two speakers can be mounted horizontally or vertically as an array on walls. Use them for a high-performance, home theater speaker system as a high-performance stereo pair of speakers for music.

Three speakers can be mounted in an array to span corners. This unique option is perfect for providing sound to an open floor plan and around corners.

Four speakers can be mounted in a vertical or horizontal array and using the optional pole mount adaptor you can hang the array from a standard ceiling fan pole. Now there’s a simple solution for providing sound to a large open area, like a game or family room. A four-speaker array can even be configured in a single point, stereo application

There is a built in USB-rechargeable battery pack at the speaker. Therefor instead of consuming the power from your mp3 player batteries, it got it own resource to boost it sounds. On the other words, the speaker should have plenty of sound out of them. Charging is pretty easy, just hook it up to your computer and it’s done. A full charged of batteries will run for up to 2.5 hours and the 3.5mm audio jack is where you connected to iPod or other portable multimedia player.

The G1 Optimus Prime Head with Built-In USB-Powered Speakers is just the latest item to pop up at BigBadToyStore to enhance your ever growing collection of Transformer peripherals. The head itself weighs about 3 pounds and the sides of its helmet open up to reveal a set of speakers. The controls for the device are on the back, such as the volume, and it will sit nicely on your desk looking menacingly at others as they pass by it. If Optimus Prime doesn’t do it for you, there will also be a version for Ultra Magnus. There are no details on how decent sounding these things are, but most likely you are not getting them for their sound quality. Both are available for pre-order now and will retail for $49.99. You can purchase the head for $49.99 from the Big Bad Toy Store.

Now this is a gadget that keeps things nice and simple. If you for some reason don’t have a sound card, it still allows for you to listen to your music. It has a built-in sound card along with a tiny speaker. It’s not going to have fantastic sound, but when you don’t have a sound card, things can get fairly desperate. This would be a nice and affordable temporary fix for the issue. That or if you’re not really worried about it, it could be a permanent fix.

The little ball speakers come in 4 different colors, blue, orange, pink and finally white. With that selection it’d be easy for just about anyone to find a color they’d enjoy. The speaker itself comes on a flexible cord, so you can adjust it to get it to the most convenient position. The USB speaker can be purchased for $19 from Gadget4all. Which really isn’t a bad price, even if it has only mediocre sound quality.

The new FH001 speakers are massive! These big boys are made of a transparent acrylic and have a super efficient design which lets them play loud and clear with as little as 3 to 50 watts. This means you don’t need a power sucking amplifier to get good sound and thus allows the manufacturer, Ferguson Hill, to call them “green”. I’m not sure if I buy that since they’re made of plastic- how about “greener”.
The clear design means that despite the huge size of these speakers, they won’t take over your whole room visually and will sort of disappear into the background. Then again, if you have room for such a large speaker and can afford the $26,000 price tag, then you probably have enough room in your home for just about anything. Personally I barely have room for a pair of earbuds, much less gigantic speakers.

That’s a tiny monkey head. They have a rechargeable lithium ion battery inside and can connect to any device with a headphone jack. These simians will run you $10 and they come in yellow or orange, just like real monkeys. Personally I think they’re more ape-like than monkey-like but I’m definitely not a monkey expert- just a fan.
