DIY USB Cigar Flash Memory

Check out this fun USB drive made using a cigar from the guys over at Instructables, the Cigar USB Drive. This fun USB drives was made using a real cigar, a small USB drive, some LEDs and a few other parts, check out the video of it in action below.

Very cool I like the way it glows when connected and flashes when the disk is accessed, if you want to make your own there are full instructions available over at Instructables.

Hypnocube- 3D LED Light Cube kit

Hypnocube is a modular light kit that you put together yourself. It said the kit is designed for simple construction but the soldering still required. You can make up to 8×8 cube of lights. The 64 three colored LED lights can run randomly or use any of over 50 effects and 10 transitional effects. Once assembled you can program the light show on your computer via the USB cable.

It seems this 3D lights is no pretty much practical use, though it is awesome. Or you can show it in your party.

Owl Earbud Holder

Do you really need a earbud holder for your headset? For me, I don’t think so. I just wrap my earbuds around the mp3 player itself. But I have to admit the wire is easy to get tangled. This DIY owl earbud holder is an elegant solution to the tangled earbud wire issue and it look stylish too. But does this really necessary?

Maybe not many people decor their home switch plate. It seems it is a piece that people always ignored when style up their home. Maybe the source are limited and there are very little option in decorating the switch plate. However, Steampunk has introduced how to decorate your house switch plate by yourself. There are step by step instruction to create your own version of these at there website.

But before you start, make sure you have the appropriate tools in hand like brass tidbits, paint stripper, a hammer, scissors, tupperwear, ammonia… not easy huh?

Steampunk Segway – AKA The Legway

A self balancing, human powered, steampunk styled, Segway. All you need is a brave self balancing human. This is the ultimate green vehicle for all you eco conscious steampunkers. Is that an oxymoron? I made this out of mostly found materials. This was my first steampunk styled build. Any good suggestions on making it look better will be incorporated as long as the materials are cheap and easy to find. I have been calling it the Legway in reference to the propulsion method. Yes, I know about those Lego self balancers of the same name…
