For busy families living in close quarters, smart design can make all the difference in the world. Case in point: the Offi Paket Table that transforms from a colorful cube into a full table and chairs set with the flick of a wrist. This simple solution makes turning an adult living space into an accommodating kid-friendly area a breeze… and clean-up is just as easy.

We first spied the Paket Table and Chairs at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, and we were enamored with its compactable design. Designed by Srdjan Simic of Zool Designs in San Diego, the Paket set is meant to address the needs of people who require efficient work and dining space that can be easily stowed and transported. Because of its basic design, the Paket is perfect for so many different uses – from coloring to corn-on-the-cob.

The Paket’s tabletop and chairs are made of laminated birch plywood and are available in white, orange and charcoal gray colors. The legs are powder-coated steel – an environmentally preferable finish. What a great example of clever, space-saving design!
